Parliamentary Library hosts virtual exhibition of Georgian medics at the forefront of epidemic

The Georgian National Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) and National Parliamentary Library are hosting a virtual exhibition dedicated to Georgian medical personnel fighting on the front line against the new coronavirus. 

With this virtual exhibition, Georgia joins in celebrations of World Health Day which is marked on April 7 every year throughout the world.

The photo exhibition titled ‘Medical Staff at the Forefront of the Epidemic’ reflects the activities of the medics fighting against the virus in different countries of the world and in Georgia.

The virtual exhibition also includes materials reflecting the response of healthcare workers to the new coronavirus. Those interested can also see educational infographics and posters about the virus.

This year’s World Health Day theme is dedicated to honouring the work of nurses and midwives across the world in general and, specifically, in the fight against the COVID-19 epidemic. The motto of this year’s campaign is ‘Support for Nurses and Midwives’. The virtual exhibition responds to this campaign and aims to express its gratitude to the doctors fighting against the pandemic”, says the press office of the National Parliamentary Library of Georgia.

The exhibition includes both professional and amateur photos.
