A woman who delivered via C-section birth a week ago has died allegedly due to the H1N1 flu .
The head of the National Center for Disease Control said that the woman had clinical signs of flu.
“A young woman died yesterday. She had a C-section birth at the Baiebi Clinic one week ago. Soon she returned in a worse condition to the medical center where she gave birth and was transferred to Gudushauri Clinic for medical studies but her condition was already severe and unfortunately she died soon after entering the clinic,” Gudushauri clinic said today.
The Ministry of Health has received 13,000 packages of Tamiflu today, a medication needed for the treatment of the H1N1 flu which is free for Georgian citizens upon need.
Health Minister David Sergeenko said the final statistical data received from clinics shows that the flu is decreasing. He said 640 people are currently hospitalised and 42 among them are in a severe condition.
