Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Gakharia has met with Dmytro Razumkov, Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada during his visit to Ukraine today.
Gakharia said that Georgia and Ukraine should together strive for Europe and do everything to be part of the European political space.
PM Gakharia also drew attention to the common challenges and aspirations of Georgia and Ukraine:
We are united by our past and the challenges that our citizens and states face – the territorial integrity of our countries. I am confident that together we will be able to take effective steps in this direction”, said Giorgi Gakharia.
Giorgi Gakharia also mentioned successful cooperation at the parliamentary level and positively assessed the efforts of trilateral cooperation between the parliaments of Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova.

Dmytro Razumkov noted that Georgia and Ukraine have a lot in common, including their fight for territorial integrity, but the relationship and the history of the countries has proven that they will handle the challenges with dignity.
Georgian PM has met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky with the heads of states of Organization for Democracy and Economic Development (GUAM).
Georgia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Moldova (GUAM countries) signed an agreement to create a unified economic zone and reach a free trade agreement in Ukraine, on December 12.
The development of economic relations, transport, energy, free trade and tourism were some of the issues touched upon in the agreement.
