Two foreign nationals have been detained by the Investigative Agency for the Ministry of Finance of Georgia for for sale of the counterfeit €500 bills in Georgia.
The investigation revealed that the individuals imported and sold 20 pieces of counterfeit money (€500) in Georgia’s Kvemo Kartli region.
Law enforcers seized €10,000 in counterfeit bills.
The crime is punishable by seven to 10 years imprisonment.
