Police detain two foreigners for using counterfeit €500 bills in Georgia

Two foreign nationals have been detained by the Investigative Agency for the Ministry of Finance of Georgia for for sale of the counterfeit 500 bills in Georgia.

The investigation revealed that the individuals imported and sold 20 pieces of counterfeit money (500) in Georgia’s Kvemo Kartli region.

Law enforcers seized 10,000 in counterfeit bills.

The crime is punishable by seven to 10 years imprisonment.
