Turkish citizen detained for possession, sale of counterfeit money

The Turkish citizen has been detained for the possession and sale of counterfeit money, says the State Security Service of Georgia.

The detainee sold $4,200 in counterfeit bills to a Nigerian citizen living in Georgia in exchange for $2,100.

The crime is punishable by seven to 10 years in prison.

An investigation is being carried out by the Anti-corruption Agency of the State Security Service of Georgia.
