October 2019: arrivals to Poti port in western Georgia up 52 per cent

In October 2019, the number of sea arrivals to Georgia’s Black Sea port in Poti have increased by 52 per cent, compared to the same period of last year. 

The number of arrivals to Batumi port increased by five per cent compared to the same period of last year, show data from the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

In October 2018, there were 158 arrivals of ships to Poti port, while this number reached 241 in October 2019. 

In October 2018, arrivals to Batumi port amounted to 99, while they increased to 104 in October 2019.

The number of visits to Poti port by international visitors amounted to 2,284 in October 2019, which is an increase of 88 per cent compared to October 2018.

The number of international visits to Batumi port amounted to 1,344 in October 2019, which is a 0.2 per cent increase compared to the same period of last year.
