Two Georgian judokas win European Junior Championship

Two Georgian judokas - Giorgi Tutashvili (-66kg) and Eter Liparteliani (-57kg) have won the European Judo championship being held in Finland. 

358 participants from 44 nations are taking part in the competition which kicked off on September 12, with Georgia presented by 14 athletes. 

The competition will come to an end later today.

Tutashvili, 20, won silver at the Grand Prix held Tbilisi in 2019, which was his debut.

 As a cadet he also won silver at the European Cup Cadets in Antalya in 2016. 

Liparteliani, 19, won gold at the Junior European Cup in Cluj Napoca this year. 

She clinched a bronze medal at the Junior European Cup in Malaga in 2019 and another bronze medal at the Grand Prix in Zagreb in 2019.
