A forest fire that erupted yesterday evening still continues near the village of Sakavre, in Gori Municipality.

Firefighters and helicopters worked all night long as heavy smoke was observed over an area of 40 hectares.

Rescuers and firefighter brigades from all municipalities of the Shida Kartli region of Georgia have been involved in the process.
