Sataplia, Prometheus caves to offer renovated areas to visitors

Sataplia and Prometheus caves, located in western Georgia, will offer a renovated park and tourist paths to visitors.

A new lighting system will be installed inside the Sataplia and Prometheus caves, which are listed among the most attractive tourist places in Georgia.

The renovation work of a hotel in Sataplia has been launched, and the hotel will open shortly. 

The two caves are included among the protected areas of Imereti that cover 504,6 hectares and unites 19 unique places.

Prometheus and Sataplia caves are located in Tskaltubo Municipality, near the provincial capital of the Georgian region of Imereti, Kutaisi.

The caves host 270,000 visitors annually.
