Georgia and Serbia have signed a deal on cooperation for EU integration on the sidelines of the 16th Batumi International Conference today.
Georgian Foreign Minister David Zalkaliani and Serbian EU Integration Minister Jadranka Joksimovic have signed the document.
The deal is aimed at strengthening cooperation between the Georgian and Serbian ministries and sharing experience between the parties.
Jadranka Joksimovic said Serbia steadily supports the European aspirations of Georgia.
She stated Georgia should have ‘strategic patience’ to become a member of the European Union.
Georgia and Serbia are located in geopolitically complex regions in different parts of Europe,” Jaksimovic said.
Collaboration and a European future is the only proper way for our nations to live better,” Serbian EU Integration Minister Jadranka Jaksimovic said.
The 16th Batumi International Conference opened yesterday in the coastal city of Batumi.
The conference is dedicated to the 10th anniversary of the EU’s Eastern Partnership initiative.
