Georgia’s Mkinvartsveri peak remeasured: officially 5,054 meters high

The Caucasus skitouring network, a group of Georgian professionals has measured the country’s third-highest peak of Mkinvartsveri.

Based on the new estimations, Mkinvartsveri, also known as Kazbegi Mountain, is 5,054 meters high.

  • The previous estimations varied in different sources and were not reliable.
  • This time it was remeasured with the internationally approved modern tools and technologies.
