Vienna, Rome and Prague are the top three in demand directions from Georgia’s Kutaisi International Airport in the first quarter of 2019, announces United Airports of Georgia.
After these three cities comes Berlin and Memmingen.
In the same quarter Kutaisi airport served 156,784 passengers, which is a 101% increase year-on-year.
United Airports of Georgia reports Kutaisi is leading in European airports in terms of growing passenger traffic.
Starting August 1 Hungarian airline Wizz Air will base a third aircraft AIRBUS A320 in Kutaisi airport.
Starting the same date, Kutaisi International Airport will introduce eight new European destinations, announces Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze.
Wizz Air has been carrying out flights in Kutaisi since it opened its first Caucasian base in September 2016.
