Georgia received $138.4 million from abroad in December 2017, while remittances leaving Georgia totalled $19.8 million, says the National Bank of Georgia.
Last month Georgia received 16.3 percent more in remittances than in December of 2016.
Russia ($45 million), Italy ($15.4 million) and Greece ($15.1 million) were the largest remittance senders in December 2017.
Overall, the vast majority (92.4 percent) of all money transfers from abroad came from 14 countries.
