More books for inmates on int’l Women’s Day

Female inmates in Georgia have received dozens of books to mark the celebration of International Women’s Day today.
Hosting the Georgian writers at Rustavi Prison Colony #5, female inmates spoke about the importance of books in their daily lives.

Georgian inmates serving prison terms in Turkish penitentiary facilities will join in traditional celebrations of Easter this Sunday. The Georgian Ministry of Corrections has sent traditional Easter eggs, sweet bread called paskha, candles and books to Turkey.
Today Georgia is celebrating International Women’s Day. The day is a national holiday in Georgia.It is traditional for men and boys to buy flowers and other gifts for women on this day; women also celebrate the day with one another and exchange similar items.
