Georgian PM saddened by deadly shooting in Florida, US

Georgian Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili has expressed his condolences over an attack on a high school in Florida, United States (US) that killed 17 yesterday.

17 people, including children and adults were killed when a gunman entered the high school on Wednesday afternoon, pulled the fire alarm and attacked those escaping the building.

Foreign media said 12 people were found dead inside the school, two were killed outside the building, one in the street, and two died later in hospital from their injuries.

The suspect identified as former student 19-year-old Nikolas Cruz – a former student at Marjory Stoneman Douglas high school - had been earlier expelled for disciplinary reasons.

He was arrested at the scene and is being questioned by investigators.
