Price of natural gas to be reduced in Georgian capital, regions

The price of natural gas will be reduced in Georgia’s capital of Tbilisi as well as in the regions, announces the Georgian National Energy and Water Supply Regulatory Commission.

In Tbilisi the price of natural gas will be reduced by 0.014 tetri per cubic meter of gas, while in the regions where SOCAR Georgia Gas operates, the price will be reduced by 0.011 tetri per cubic meter of gas and where SakorGas operates, the price will decrease by 0.012 tetri.

As of today the price of natural gas in Tbilisi is 46.153 tetri per m3. Starting from January 1, the tariff will be reduced to 46.139 tetri per cubic meter of gas. 

Meanwhile, in the regions the current fee is 56.940 tetri and it will be 56.929 tetri per m3 from January 1, 2019 for SOCAR Georgia Gas consumers. As for SakorGas fees, it is now 57.011tetri and will be 56.999 tetri per m3.

The new tariff will be valid from January 1 of 2019 to December 31 of 2019 after which a new tariff will be set.
