Georgia’s border police detain four foreigners for illegally crossing the border

Georgia’s border police have detained four foreign citizens for illegal crossing the country’s state border.

The Interior Ministry did not identify the detainees but announced two were citizens of Sri Lanka and the remaining two were from Bangladesh.

The four were trying together to illegally depart from Georgia to Turkey.

The detainees face 4-5 years in prison.
