The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is opening an embassy in Georgia’s capital of Tbilisi in December 2018 in order to promote the relationship between the two countries, Georgia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
The decision to open the embassy in Tbilisi came after a meeting between Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze and representatives of the Saudi Arabian Foreign Ministry.
Moreover, representatives from Saudi Arabia are planning to arrive in Georgia in December.
In 2014 a Georgian embassy was officially opened in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh, which greatly contributed to the development of bilateral and multilateral relations between the two countries in political, military, trade-economic, investment and tourism fields.
