Saudi Arabia is opening Embassy in Georgia

The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is opening an embassy in Georgia’s capital of Tbilisi in December 2018 in order to promote the relationship between the two countries, Georgia’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs reports.
The decision to open the embassy in Tbilisi came after a meeting between Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze and representatives of the Saudi Arabian Foreign Ministry.
Moreover, representatives from Saudi Arabia are planning to arrive in Georgia in December.
In 2014 a Georgian embassy was officially opened in the Saudi Arabian capital of Riyadh, which greatly contributed to the development of bilateral and multilateral relations between the two countries in political, military, trade-economic, investment and tourism fields.
Norway is going to open an embassy in Georgia, announces the Government of Norway. At the same time, the embassy in Baku, Azerbaijan will be closed and the embassy in Ankara, Turkey will then be responsible for Norway’s relations with Azerbaijan.
Georgia and Saudi Arabia are increasing economic cooperation by avoiding double taxation. This means that people or businesses working abroad in either country will not have to pay taxes in both countries, and will instead pay income and capital taxes in only one.
