Washington is hosting the ‘First ღvino Forum of America’ on November 11-13.
The three-day event includes a ‘Saperavi Festival’ and Georgian wine tasting events.
The forum will be ended with a scientific conference, which will be dedicated to Georgian wine culture and history.

The United States is one of the growing export markets for Georgian wine.
In the first 10 months of 2018 Georgia exported about 400,000 bottles of wine to the United States.
This is a one per cent increase compared to the same period of 2017.
Georgian wines made in large, amphora-like clay vessels, the qvevri, were presented at an international exhibition of RAW Wine – the artisan wine fair held in New York on November 4-5.
American master of wine Lisa Granik is visiting Georgia together with US sommeliers, exploring the country’s rich wine history and culture in the regions of Kartli and Kakheti.
Famous US magazine "Food and Wine” will publish an article about Georgian wine, wine culture and traditions in its October 2018 issue.
Georgian wine was showcased at five events of fine, natural wines in the United States’ cities of New York and Los Angeles during the past one week, announced the Georgian National Wine Agency.
