Georgian cuisine will be another major motivation for tourists to discover this country, announces the Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA).
The administration is launching a new project aiming to popularise Georgian cuisine and attract more tourists.
The project will take the form of a festival and will become an annual event.
For this reason, four world-famous chefs, 13 journalists and bloggers working on international wine tourism and culinary topics visited Georgia this week.
During the six-day tour, guests visited Georgia’s capital of Tbilisi, its wine region of Kakheti and ancient town of Mtskheta, where they tasted traditional Georgian cuisine.
The invited chefs met local novice cooks, shared their experience and offered masterclasses.
The new project of the GNTA aims to aid Georgia in the international market as a culinary tourism destination and to popularise Tbilisi as a fine-dining city.
