Jan-July 2018: Passenger traffic at Georgian airports reaches record high

Georgia’s three international airports served 2,719,920 passengers in the first seven months of 2018, which is a 28 percent increase year-on-year (y/y).

The number of passengers who took regular or charter flights in Georgia increased in all three main airports of the country: Tbilisi Shota Rustaveli International Airport, Batumi International Airport and Kutaisi David Aghmashenebeli International Airport.

More specifically:

  • Tbilisi International Airport served 2,104,161 passengers - a 27 percent increase y/y
  • Kutaisi International Airport served 310,115 passengers - 33 percent increase
  • Batumi International Airport served 301,597 passengers - 29 percent increase

In the first seven months of this year, Georgia’s rural airports in Mestia and Ambrolauri both served 4,047 passengers.
