A group of US cinema producers and managers are visiting Georgia from July 10-17 to learn more about the country’s unique filming environment and about the benefits offered by the ‘Film in Georgia’ programme.
Over the course of the week, the location managers from the US will visit several towns of Georgia such as Batumi, Tskaltubo, Chiatura, Tbilisi, Kazbegi and Rustavi.
They will be introduced to the ‘Film in Georgia’ programme, which is a government initiative to stimulate the local film sector by offering favourable conditions for local and international filmmakers.
The programme offers a cash rebate of 20-25 percent of expenses incurred in Georgia, as a way of encouraging parties to film in the country and support the development of the local film industry.
