Georgia and France create joint working group to combat organised crime

The Georgian and French interior ministers signed an agreement in Paris today to create a joint working group against the transnational organised crime. 

The Georgian Interior Ministry evaluated the deal as a "one step forward for a higher level of cooperation between Georgian and French law enforcers.” 

The Georgian Interior Minister Giorgi Gakharia’s visit in France aims to further enhance police ties between the two countries, particularly towards the directions which concern Georgia-EU visa free agreement, the Georgian Interior Ministry reported. 

Gakharia and his French counterpart Gerard Collomb stated that the law enforcement agencies of their countries have cooperated affective, which led to the decreased number of crimes committed by Georgians in France. 

Collomb praised Georgia for the 100percent fulfillment of readmission requests from France.
