Occupied Tskhinvali prepares Otkhozoria-Tatunashvili response list

A de facto lawmaker of the Georgian occupied Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) region Petre Gasiev says that the de facto legislative body of the breakaway area is drafting a list which will include Georgian, American , Ukrainian and other nationals who have violated the rights of Ossetians since 1992.
Gasiev says that the list is a response to the Otkhozoria-Tatunashvili list of the Georgian government, which includes 33 individuals who have committed crimes against Georgian citizens in the country’s occupied territories since 1992.
The list we have come up with will be named after Grigori Sanakoev, who was brutally killed by Georgians in 1992,” Gasiev says.
He stated that the Ossetian people have been the victims of genocide by the government of Georgia twice.
Members of the Georgian Dream ruling party say that the list drafted by the leaderships of the occupied territories will have no legitimacy.
Neither in Georgia, nor internationally, the people included in the list drafted by Ossetians or Abkhazians will be held accountable, as the list, as well as any decision made by the de facto leaderships is illegitimate,” the Georgian Dream lawmaker Sophio Kiladze said.
The list approved by the Georgian government now needs to be confirmed by parliament. The list is named after Georgian citizens Giga Otkhozoria and Archil Tatunashvili who were killed by Russia-controlled border guards in Tskhinvali in 2015 and 2018.
The Georgian Prime Minister Mamuka Bakhtadze stated today that 33 individuals have been put on the Otkhozoria-Tatunashvili list, which includes people who have violated the rights of Georgian citizens in the country’s occupied Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) regions.Bakhtadze says that the number is expected to rise in the future.
