‘Under Tbilisi Sky’ will host pianist David Aladashvili and Sukhishvili National ballet concerts

The new cultural platform by Tbilisi City Hall – Under Tbilisi Sky - will host concerts of pianist David Aladashvili and Georgian National Ballet Sukhishvili on May 19 and 20.
The cultural events will be held in different districts of the city. The Georgian National Ballet Sukhishvili will hold the concert in Gldani district today at 9 p.m. while David Aladashvili’s solo performance will be available at Vera Park tomorrow at 8 p.m.
The project Under Tbilisi Sky is a new cultural and art platform which will allow anyone to deliver own ideas for outdoor activities, events and performances. The project aims to make cultural events publicly accessible and create a vibrant cultural life on the outskirts of Tbilisi.
The platform will include musical performances, educational lectures, open cinema, different exhibitions, theater plays, festivals and other events which will be free to attend.
Following in the footsteps of many European cities, Georgia’s capital of Tbilisi plans to revive nightlife and the night time economy of the capital which is a significant contributor to a city’s economy.
Tbilisi City Hall is taking action to develop a vibrant night-time economy in the capital city of Georgia. Night-time economy is a category of economic activity that occurs after 5 p.m. and includes dining, nightlife, arts, music, theatre, entertainment, festivals, events, activities and tourist attractions that are open at night.
As a part of the larger Check in Georgia project, which covers a series of cultural events with the support of the Georgian government, TAF will host more than 25 galleries and 35 independent artists from all over the world.
The J. Pzn Sweelinck Orchestra of the University of Amsterdam established in 1878 will perform in Tbilisi today as a part of the City Hall’s project, Under Tbilisi Sky.
