Georgia’s Euro-Atlantic Integration Minister meets NATO Secretary General

Georgia’s State Minister for European and Euro-Atlantic Integration Viktor Dolidze will meet NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg in Brussels today.
The meeting was announced on NATO’s official website.
The four key topics the pair will discuss today are:
- Ways of ending the occupation of Georgian territories
- NATO-Georgia relations
- Reforms in Georgia
- Black Sea security
This discussion will be followed by a NATO-Georgia Commission (NGC) meeting.
The NGC was established in September 2008 to serve as a forum for both political consultations and practical cooperation to help Georgia achieve its goal of membership in NATO.
Stoltenberg and Dolidze’s meeting will be closed to media.
Georgia’s President Giorgi Margvelashvili is optimistic of the country's future with the North Atlantic Treaty Organisation (NATO) and says there have been several examples in history when countries with occupied territories and disputed borders were accepted into the alliance.
During a joint press conference following the meeting Stoltenberg stressed NATO strongly supported Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity and valued Georgia’s commitments to the Alliance and international security.
Prime Minister of Georgia Giorgi Kvirikashvili is set to leave for Belgium today to participate in the third session of the European Union-Georgia Association Council. The event was scheduled to take place on Friday, December 2.
