Georgian President in Slovakia on official visit

Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili is visiting Slovakia for a three-day official visit.
Slovakian President Andrej Kiska will host Margvelashvili at an official welcoming ceremony, which will be followed by a meeting between the two Presidents today.
After the meeting Margvelashvili and Kiska will make statements for the press.
Margvelashvili is accompanied by his wife Maka Chichua and a state delegation composed of the State Minister of European and Euro-Atlantic integration and other high-ranking state officials and as part of the visit Margvelashvili’s meetings are also scheduled with Slovakian Prime Minister and National Council Speaker.
Margvelashvili will give a lecture on security issues at the Comenius University in Bratislava and will meet Georgian student studying in Slovakia.
Tomorrow Kiska will host the Georgian presidential couple at his native town of Levoca. They will visit a winter resort in the Tatra Mountains and the Slovakian side will share its tourism experience with Georgia.
The Georgian delegation will end its Slovakia visit on May 17.
In Khurvaleti village, standing before the barbed wire fences installed by Russian occupants to divide the country, Georgia’s President Giorgi Margvelashvili said "the occupation wall would be soon destroyed like the Berlin Wall.”
PM promotes Georgia’s business-friendly environment
Georgia and Slovakia are investigating ways to deepen economic relations at today’s joint business forum in Georgia’s capital Tbilisi.
I’m here today to support Georgia on its path of integration into the European Union (EU) and NATO. These words were spoken by President of Slovakia Andrej Kiska in Georgia’s capital Tbilisi earlier this morning.
Slovakia fully supports Georgia, its reforms and Euro-Atlantic integration efforts. "Georgia is advancing well,” Slovakia’s Foreign Minister Miroslav Lajcak said.
Deepening bilateral cooperation between Georgia and Slovakia and Georgia’s European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations are among the issues Georgian and Slovak Presidents discussed during their today’s meeting in Bratislava.
An official agreement has been signed between Georgian Airways and Bratislava Airport on establishing direct flights that will boost tourism.
