252 young soldiers have joined the Special Tasks Department of Georgia’s Interior Ministry with a military oath today.
The youth will go through one-year mandatory military service at the department, which unites both theoretical and practical exercises related to military issues.
I am thrilled to get enrolled in the Special Tasks Department… I serve Georgia”, Zaal Vanjelashvili, one of the enrollees said.
Free medical service, food and accommodation will be provided for by the Ministry. Apart from the mandatory program the soldiers will take part in local sport activities and enjoy short-term vacations as well.

This time next year the newcomers will have the relevant technical skills and ability necessary for being a professional soldier.

After completion of their service, the most outstanding soldiers who have the desire to remain committed to the military profession will be encouraged to apply for jobs at various departments of the Ministry.
