The Georgian Foreign Ministry says the United States response to the recent use of chemical weapons in the town of Khan Shaykhun, Syria resulting in civilian casualties was "timely, limited and proportional”.

Georgian Defence Minister Levan Izoria said "the missile strikes carried out by our strategic partners in Syria were a proportional and appropriate response targeted to destroy facilities where the chemical weapon was stored. All measures were carried out to avoid civilian casualties”.
