A new blue bus decorated for New Year has been running around the Georgian capital of Tbilisi today with Tbilisi Mayor Kakha Kaladze sending his new year’s wishes to the people for 2018.
German Man Truck and Bus AG Company made this gift to Tbilisi with the support of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD).

The new blue buses are better for the environment than the current yellow buses, and operate in Tbilisi thanks to an agreement between one of the leading international providers of commercial vehicles, the Man Truck and Bus AG Company.
Based on the agreement, 143 new buses were added to the Tbilisi public transport service since October 6, 2016.

As well as being more efficient and economical, the new buses are also ideal for bio fuels – CO2-neutral.
Wishing everyone a Happy New Year, Mayor Kaladze said all the old yellow buses will be replaced by the brand-new blue buses in the next four years.
