A new education centre Israeli Technology Hub will be opened at Georgia’s Business and Technology University to offer new opportunities to students and graduates.

The Israeli Technology Hub will give a platform to the students and graduates to be involved and employed in technological projects in Israel.

The opening of the new education centre and all its initiatives will be financed by Israel.

We are investing in a team. We will finance their studies and later they will be employed in good positions and will receive good salaries. At the initial stage the trained [students] will be remotely employed at companies in Israel. During the next year about 100 people will be re-trained,” said Georgia’s Honorary Consul in Israel.

It is hoped that the Israeli Technology Hub will help Georgia to become a regional technology hub. The Business and Technology University is located at "Silicon Valley Tbilisi”, in Georgia’s capital city.

"Silicon Valley Tbilisi” was established based on studies of similar, foreign enterprises and two-year research into the local labour market, economy, business, technologies and innovations.

The long run strategy of the project is to advance the business and technology industry in Georgia. It will focus on merging education and practice, and promoting local tech companies by attracting international experience.
