Georgia’s Economy Minister Dimitry Kumsishvili encourages investors, attending the Tbilisi Silk Road Forum, to invest in Georgia.

The minister delivered his speech at a panel discussion titled ‘Use Investment Opportunities’, where he participated in the first session of Georgia’s Investment and Trade Opportunities.

At the session Kumsishvili spoke about Georgia’s business-friendly environment and how easy it is to start a business in Georgia.

Georgia has improved its ranking in Moody's ratings, which means more investments will be implemented in the country. In terms of easy doing of business we take the ninth place and thirteenth place in terms of investments. Also, Georgia takes ninth place in terms of taxation of the private sector. All this means that it is easy to start your business in Georgia,” said Kumsishvili.
You can open your company in one day, in 40 minutes you will be able to open your banking accounts and there is no need for licenses. So, you will need less time and less money to start a business in Georgia. You can invest in Georgia and receive your money back from our country without additional control. We have only six kinds of taxes. We welcome you and invite you in Georgia,” he added.

The minister also spoke about Georgia’s current and planned reforms and said these reforms would bring country to better positions.
