Georgia and Serbia sign agreement on trade-economic relations

Georgia and Serbia are moving to improve bilateral trade-economic relations thanks to a new agreement signed today in Tbilisi.

Georgia’s Economy Minister Dimitry Kumsishvili and the Vice Prime Minister of Serbia and the Minister of Trade, Tourism and Telecommunications Rasim Ljajic signed the new agreement on trade-economic relations.

This new agreement aims to improve trade-economic relations between Georgia and Serbia, strengthen cooperation between the business societies of both countries, encourage entrepreneurial initiatives and help provide for a more efficient use of economic resources.

Based on the agreement a new bilateral cooperation commission will be established between Georgia and Serbia that will outline the priority directions of trade-economic cooperation.

A senior delegation of the Republic of Serbia visited Georgia today.
