A low-cost airline from the United Arab Emirates (UAE) is coming to Batumi International Airport located on Georgia’s Black Sea coastline to offer more flights and diverse routes this summer.
Starting from June 22 Flydubai will perform direct flights three times a week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Saturdays on Boeing 737-800 type aircrafts. The service will continue until September 30, 2017, announced the Georgian Civil Aviation Agency (GCAA).
Flydubai has already requested permission from the CGAA to launch flights on the Dubai-Batumi-Dubai route.
The low-cost airline entered the Georgian market in 2011 and was taking six percent of passenger share as of 2016.
