Print festival hosts Tbilisi performances, installations in celebration of art form

The art form of print works is set to be celebrated by dozens of local and foreign artists flocking to two locations in Tbilisi to mark the highlight of this year’s Life N Style Print Festival.

Performances, video- and photographic installations by painters, photographers and designers will be on display to showcase the contemporary creations in the field.

Launching on Tuesday, the concluding events of the festival will be hosted at the TBC Gallery and the wine factory on Petriashvili Street.

Creators from Europe, the United States and the Caucasus region will be part of the shows hosting visitors.

In addition, five local artists will offer installations and performances in festival space.

Uta Bekaia, Ria Keburia, Mari Ataneli, Mariam Shakarashvili and Guga Kotetishvili will delve into a diverse set of themes for their displays.

Events within the festival already held in four locations in Georgia’s regions, with the capital now hosting the concluding shows. Artwork for the Tbilisi showcases were curated by Nana Zaalishvili.

The festival has also collaborated with local artists to create a "unique collection” of contemporary print works via its printing workshop.

The festival was established with focus on print forms including serigraphy, silkography and lithography.
