The Central Election Commission (CEC) continues to update preliminary results of the 2017 municipal elections.

CEC preliminary results for local councils across Georgia show that four political parties are leading through the proportional election system.

A party must clear a 4 percent threshold to enter local councils. The parties who have managed this so far are:

  • Georgian Dream – 55.69 %
  • United National Movement – 16.99 %
  • European Georgia – 10.51 %
  • Alliance of Patriots – 6.54 %

Georgia conducted municipal elections for 2017 yesterday, where the country elected hundreds of local authorities, including city mayors and members of city councils.
