A wildfire in the Tsagveri forest in south-central Georgia has been extinguished, but the firefighters are staying to monitor the site.
Tsagveri is part of Borjomi Gorge, where a massive forest fire has happened earlier in August, too.

An unusually high number of wildfires occurred in Georgian forests this summer. The largest one was in Borjomi Gorge that burnt for seven days before being put out in late August.
An investigation is underway to find out the causes of frequent forest fires in Georgia this year.
