Up to 1,500 families have lost electricity due to a heavy landslide in Georgia’s Black Sea region of Adjara last night.
The villages of Kobuleti and Zeda Sameba have been affected the most as some of the families had to leave their homes and move to safer places.
Heavy rain has caused landslides in Keda as well. However, a special emergency headquarter is working to deal with the natural disaster.
Deputy Governor of Kobuleti Municipality Malkhaz Romanadze said rescuers and representatives of Road Department have helped the population avoid further troubles. Omanadze said the main roads have now been blocked and people do not face any threats.
