Georgian, Polish Presidents meet in Poland

Georgian President Giorgi Margvelashvili met with his Polish counterpart Andrzej Duda during his visit to the Krynica-Zdroj, Poland today.

President Margvelashvili once again thanked Duda for supporting Georgia’s sovereignty and territorial integrity, as well as non-recognition policy and European and Euro-Atlantic aspirations.

Polish President Duda said he will do his best to promote Georgian issues on the upcoming Eastern Partnership (EaP) summit in Brussels, Belgium later this year.

During their meeting in Poland, Margvelashvili and Duda also discussed the current situation in the Russian occupied regions of Georgia – Abkhazia and Tskhinvali (South Ossetia). Photo by Georgian President's press office

Margvelashvili has left to Poland to participate in the international economic forum that is being held between September 5-7.

Within the forum earlier today he participated in the presidential session together with the Polish and Macedonian Presidents.
