‘Tsinandali Festival’:
A new classical music festival for Georgia’s Kakheti region

The historic village of Tsinandali in Georgia’s famous wine-making province of Kakhaeti will soon be home to a large-scale, classical music festival.
The Georgian National Tourism Administration (GNTA) of the Ministry of Economy and Silk Road Group signed a memorandum of understanding today, hoping to launch a high-quality music festival that will be known by the name, ’Tsinandali Festival’.
Silk Road Group is a leading private investment group in the South Caucasus and Central Asia.
According to the memorandum, a concert hall for 900 guests, a 60-room hotel, an open amphitheatre, a library, a conference hall and multi-functional facility will be built in Tsinandali to accommodate the festival and other events.
The project also includes the establishment of a music academy, for the purpose of which a youth orchestra of 60 musicians will be created.
A special awards ceremony will reveal some of the brightest young Georgian scientists and artists this Saturday at a vibrant Tbilisi venue dedicated to creativity and art.

Internationally renowned musical artists and a youth orchestra bringing together performers from across the Caucasus will make the maiden edition of the Tsinandali Festival in Georgia’s east an occasion to celebrate later this year.
While various Georgian festivals and competitions have been postponed in recent weeks, classical music enthusiasts can look forward to the second edition of the Tsinandali Festival in the country's sunlit eastern province of Kakheti later this year, with major artists like Martha Argerich and Lisa Batiashvili in the roster.
Internationally recognised pianists Yefim Bronfman and Andras Schiff will be among headliners of this year's Tsinandali Festival, with the celebration of classical music set to head to a chateau of historical nobility in Georgia's east next month.
Established names of international scene, from pianists Lucas Debargue and Mao Fujita to Ukrainian conductor Oksana Lyniv and others, will be on stage of this year's Tsinandali Festival in a historical estate in Georgia's east, with the event also set to showcase some of the brightest young domestic talent.
