Gori Women’s Choir receives Order of Honour

The country’s celebrated Women's Choir from the central Georgian city of Gori has been awarded a prestigious Order of Honour for promoting Georgia.

The choir’s artistic director Teona Tsiramua has been granted the state award for developing and promoting Georgian choral music on the international level.

Famous United Kingdom (UK)-based Georgian singer Katie Melua also attended the ceremony in the Georgian Black Sea town of Batumi.

'Dreams On Fire' is taken from Ketie Melua's album 'In Winter' where she performs with the Gori Women's Choir

Later this evening Melua will perform with the Gori Women’s Choir at Black Sea Arena.

In her latest album released last October, In Winter, Melua performs one song, Dreams on Fire, accompanied by the Women's Choir from Gori.
