Two men have been detained by so-called border guards near the Russian occupied region of Georgia, Tskhinvali (South Ossetia) today.
So-called border guards detained Vasil Bolotaevi and Tengiz Kajirovi locals of the village of Tsitelubani in the municipality of Gori while the two men were grazing their cows.
Based on the preliminary information, they were taken to the Ossetian controlled territory. However, the local government said no exact location of the detainees has yet been revealed.
The State Security Service is working on the issue.
European Union Monitoring Mission (EUMM) has also been informed of the illegal detention through the hotline.
