Georgia has sent its Independence Day wishes to the United States (US).
The country’s leaders, President Giorgi Margvelashvili and Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili, have sent congratulatory letters to President Donald Trump as the US celebrates its 241st anniversary of its independence today.

"I am pleased to point out that over the centuries, the American people have successfully gone through various challenges to build a strong, independent and prosperous state. The US has always been a beacon of freedom and liberty for other nations as well as being the main pillar for peace and stability worldwide”, Margvelashvili wrote to Trump.
"Considering such a turbulent and changeable environment, I remain confident that your country will successfully go through the existing challenges and achieve new heights for its prosperous development”, he added.

Kvirikashvili wrote in his letter that the universal values of freedom and democracy enshrined in the Declaration of Independence serve as a model for freedom-loving nations around the world, including Georgia.
"Georgia sees the United States as a foremost strategic partner with whom it shares common values and interests”, he wrote.
He added that Georgia prides itself on being a reliable ally of the US both regionally and globally.
