Anaklia Black Sea Port has attracted the interest of one of the world's largest privately held port operators, SSA Marine.
SSA Marine will operate Georgia’s future port in Anaklia, a Black Sea city near Georgia’s breakaway Abkhazia region.
We are proud to be partners of such perspective and ambitious project. The Anaklia Deep Sea Port is what will make Georgia as an important logistic centre,” said Vice-President of SSA Marine Bob Waters.
Work on the Anaklia Deep Sea Port project began before the end of 2016 and will be completed by 2020.
Spread over 400 hectares and boasting access to a deep sea canyon, the Anaklia Port’s mission is to create a new, faster maritime corridor between China and Europe, helping restore the historic Silk Road.
