The Municipal Elections 2017 will take place in Georgia in about four months by the end of the third week of October.
President Giorgi Margvelashvili announced the news today saying the exact date will be made known later but political parties will now know the approximate election calendar so they can plan their election activities accordingly.
Margvelashvili added that the exact election day will be announced 60 days before the elections, which is the end of August.
The Central Election Commission has been given almost 40 million GEL to organise and hold the elections.
