Georgian digital creative agency Windfor’s Communication won its first Silver Lion awards for showcasing outstanding works of 2017 at the Cannes International Festival of Creativity.

Windfor’s Communication has been nominated for the PR Lions among 228 shortlisted entries from all around the world.

It’s 6 Millionth Tourist Campaign succeeded in three categories:

  • PR – Public Sector
  • PR – Events & Stunts
  • PR – Territory Marketing & Communication

The Tbilisi-based agency also participates in the Film and Design categories. The winners are yet to be revealed before the festival ends on June 24.

During one week in June each year, Cannes transforms into a global meeting place of anyone engaged in technology, advertising, media, marketing, design, innovation and entertainment, notes the Cannes Lions Facebook page.

Jesper Black, a young Dutch man, happened to be the lucky 6,000,000th tourist. Here is how he was welcomed to Georgia.

The Festival’s official network of representatives run local competitions to select teams in the run-up to the Cannes Lions, with the winners going on to compete at the international Festival. Festival categories are: print, media, cyber, film, marketers, design, and PR.
