Georgia’s Finance Minister Dimitry Kumsishvili has today met Executive Director at International Monetary Fund (IMF) Anthony De Lannoy.

At today’s meeting the Georgian high official shared Georgia’s macroeconomic condition and planned and ongoing reforms to Lannoy.

Recently approved new, $285 million, large-scale technical assistance program of IMF for Georgia was also discussed at the meeting. The program aims to support the country’s economic policy.

Furthermore, the program is based on Georgian Government’s four-point reform plan that proves the IMF strongly supports and trusts Georgia’s economic policy, announced Georgia’s Finance Ministry.

We talked about our technical assistance program for Georgia which was approved in April. In October we will assess the first phase of the program development process. So far we see that the program has been developing successfully,” said Lannoy.

Later Lannoy will meet representatives of National Bank of Georgia.
