Georgia’s Prime Minister Giorgi Kvirikashvili has met with his Spanish counterpart Prime Minister Mariano Rajoy yesterday.
The main issues of discussion were bilateral relations between Georgia and Spain and Georgia's European and Euro-Atlantic integration.
Kvirikashvili thanked Rajoy for his "unwavering support” of Georgia's European and Euro-Atlantic integration and the country's territorial integrity.
Georgia’s Prime Minister introduced his Spanish colleague to the Georgian Government's four-point reform agenda, which includes new tax benefits, infrastructure plans, governance reforms and an overhaul of the education system.
Trade and economic ties between the two countries were also discussed. Kvirikashvili and Rajoy believe there is still much room for expanding relations in these directions. Discussing Spain's successful tourism experience, the two ministers noted the importance of implementing joint projects.
