NATO PA President: Stability in Georgia important for the world

Georgian President Giorgi Margevlashvili met with Paolo Alli President of the NATO Parliamentary Assembly (NATO PA) within the NATO PA spring session in Georgia’s capital of Tbilisi.

Agenda of the NATO PA spring session, NATO-Georgia cooperation, the ways for improving Georgia’s security system and the current situation in the country were among the issues Margvelashvili discussed with Alli later yesterday.

Margelashvili thanked Alli for supporting Georgia’s territorial integrity and its Euro-Atlantic aspirations and asked him to engage NATO experts to help elaborate the joint recommendations for improving "the architect of Georgia’s national security”

The stability of Georgia is essential for the stability of the entire region. And this is not only important for Georgia and Europe but also for the entire world, because we must guarantee territorial integrity, we must guarantee respect to international law,” Alli said.

He said he had "fruitful discussion of what is happening in Georgia and what is happening in the region” with Margvelashvili.
