President urges voters to participate in runoff elections

The President of Georgia has cast his vote in the Second Round of the 2016 Parliamentary Elections and he is urging eligible voters to get out and have their say.

Today President Giorgi Margvelashvili made his vote at #6 polling station in central Mtatsminda district.

After making his vote he called out to the public to actively participate in the second round of elections.

I urge voters to be as active today as they were in the first round of elections, held on October 8,” the President said.
I’ve come and fulfilled my civic obligation, used my right to vote” he added.

Georgia’s Central Election Commission (CEC) said voter  turnout by 10am  was just under five percent.
